We are pleased to announce that SoraMaterial has been officially registered as a "JAXA Partner Startup," a designation for startups supported by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
Our proprietary ultra-lightweight material—so light it can effectively float on air—is a breakthrough innovation born from technology developed at Nagoya University and research outcomes cultivated through the JAXA Space Exploration Innovation Hub. Despite its extremely low density, this multi-functional material combines superior thermal insulation, sound absorption, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding/absorption. It holds immense potential for applications not only in space exploration but also in a wide range of industries, including aviation and ground mobility.
We will continue to challenge ourselves to create new value across the space and terrestrial industries, starting with our ultra-lightweight, high-performance materials.
