We are pleased to announce that Sola Materials Inc. has been officially selected as a recipient for the "Research and Development Support Project for Seed-stage Startups" for Fiscal Year 2026. This prestigious program is a public-private joint initiative sponsored by Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) under the "ICT Startup League."

Our selected project focus is as follows:

【Research Theme】Development of Ultra-Lightweight Wearable Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shielding Products

Leveraging the strengths of our proprietary ultra-lightweight functional material, SoramateX™, we will accelerate the research and development of next-generation wearable products to meet the growing demand for electromagnetic shielding.

With the strong support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and all our stakeholders, our team will work as one to swiftly develop innovative products that contribute to the digitalization of society and the establishment of safe and secure communication environments. Overview of the 'ICT Startup League' and the Program

This support program was established in fiscal 2023 as a result of the "Research and Development Support Project for Seed-stage Startups" initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC).

In addition to R&D funding and hands-on mentorship provided by the Ministry's program, the initiative will collaborate with media outlets to showcase the participating startups' businesses and achievements to a wider audience.

By expanding the network of startup supporters, the program is designed to evolve into an ecosystem that accelerates business growth and drives regional revitalization.
